A lovely little EP that is as honest as its title suggests. Seven \"new\" songs, made in the time when Phil was on his Norwegian wilderness sabbatical, and undergoing the transition from The Microphones to Mount Eerie. The EP itself was made for an Australian tour at the time, and supposedly only came out on a few CD roms, but the musical contents themselves are quite good. There are a few songs on here that never made it into any subsequent compilations (WMMA, 2 Blonde Braids, November 22nd 2003, 4:45 PM), and a few that did show up on Lost Wisdom & Songs Islands 2, although they were all updated by then. It's interesting to hear what Phil's singular versions of some of the songs were like, but I'd have to say that Julie Doiron's contributions to the songs four years later made them a lot more emotive, IMHO.
All rights go to Phil. I make absolutely no money off of this, and will take down the video if he requests me to. As per usual, please buy anything that you can from him, the least he deserves is compensation for the amount of work that he's put into his music over the past 20 years.
