From the compilation LP The Marmalade Record Co. Show "Olympia 68"
Kevin Westlake had left the Blossom Toes at the end of 1967, and in early 1968, he had teamed up with Gary Farr to record a single for Marmalade Records in March 1968. Everyday was the A side and Green the B, it was produced by Giorgio Gomelsky.
The Marmalade Record Co. Show “Olympia 68″ compilation was released in France and the interpreter changed the band name to The Lion And The Fish, the story I read was it was taken from the signs of zodiac, but neither matched the actual artists star sign. So who knows ? !
During a promotional tour of the South of France and an appearance on French TV the pair and Giorgio Gomelsky had a falling out. Allegedly, after Gomelsky had drunkenly bombed a recording, they all met on a beach in Cannes where an irate Gary Farr poured beer over Gomelsky's head. This ended the tour and they were fired. The duo returned to London without a penny in their pockets.
The track along with Everday appeared on a Marmalade 45 using the actual names of the artists Kevin Westlake & Gary Farr.
