Click Click - Party Hate, 1986 (Original Edition + Bonus Track) [Full Album]

My review. One of the most forgotten Electro-Industrial/EBM acts from the 80s is also one of the best: Click Click. Party Hate is their debut album, and an infernal one. Too techno for industrial purists, too slow and gloomy to be danced to, too sick and obscure to end up in 80s alternative charts, too minimal to be of any interest to music \"experts\". And yet there is a lot going under the cold surface. Party Hate places itself far beyond anger, far beyond depression, far beyond loneliness: it is what is left after those human stages are far gone: pure inhuman madness, delirium and delusion. Screams are useless, all that remain are some incoherent rambling speeches that surface here and there to give a glimpse of what's going on inside, only to sink again into hatred-fueled delusions soon after.

Skripglow (too bad it was released as a single during the same year, but it didn't end up on the official release of the album) is a masterpiece of industrial music and psychosis at its peak. \"if you could see what's on my mind you'd understand\" sings a more-deranged-than-ever Adrian Smith on an obsessive rhythm built by drum machines, while drone-like sounds surface and bite like sharks. Anxiety, paranoia, insanity lurk in blackness and come in waves. Smith's voice echoes in the void dark room of his own mind, completely oblivious of the outside world. Pleasure becomes pain, love and hatred melt into each other, pleasant and macabre thoughts become one thing, \"Kiss me with pleasure, kiss me at leisure, I want your pieces\", or again \"shut up shut up shut up, come here with me if you dare\", into a spiral that doesn't seem to have any chance at redemption.

Once you have reached complete darkness, you can't even remember how to go back to light anymore.
