Laugh and the World Laughs with You - and Your Names Are Homer and Jethro!
Homer and Jethro, two of America's most successful failures, proudly present their new album \"Cornfucius Say\". Cornfucius is the oriental cereal salesman portrayed by Homer and Jethro on radio and TV. Homer asks the questions and Jethro (alias Cornfucius) comes up with some rather startling answers, more cornfusing than accurate.
These nauseating rhythms cover a wide variety of subjects. A \"Doctor Foo Man Choo\" appears briefly. He is an Asiatic quack who apparently studied medicine under Homer (an army medic during World War II).
For the gourmet, a \"Chow Hound's Lament\" is the story of an occidental gent who accidentally blunders into an oriental greasy spoon where the Chinese chow upsets him, as he is strictly a turnip greens and sowbelly man.
\"Oh Golly, Cornfucius\" is a bit of musical misinformation. The great one comes up with answers here that don't even have questions.
\"A Slow Boat to China\" is launched as a first class cruise but gets hi-jacked on the high seas (actually it's in B-flat). Again our apologies to Frank Loesser.
\"My Boss\" is respectfully dedicated to the tyrants who guard the water coolers and time the coffee breaks in the air-conditioned sweat shops where we earn our daily bread.
For the teen-age tycoons and the swingers in the \"ever changing\" pablum set, we offer \"Doin' My Homework (While I Watch TV)\", \"Mother Goose Is Chicken\" and, with no malice intended, \"Monsters of the World, Unite!\".
\"Cousin John and Cousin Mabel\" is the story of two happily married people who have trouble dating the stork, never dreaming that this is why they are so happily married.
\"Darlin' You Look So Good to Me\"- he is either nearsighted or else her beauty is skin deep. Only her song writer knows for sure!
Our salute to The Beatles is called \"Gonna Send 'Em Home\". Seriously, we love the \"Fright Wig Four\" (the preceding was a paid political announcement).
Some of the material heard in this album was found in a Care package from Israel. The sender of this package, a Mr. Cyrus Coben. A search is under way to locate Mr. Coben to see that he gets all he has coming to him (royalties, money, Chinese matzoth balls).
