Cherry People were a late 60's Psychedelic Pop (later Hard Rock) band that formed from remnants of the English Setters. The band featured guitarist Punky Meadows, who would later join BUX and Angel (both bands also featured fellow bandmate, the late Mickey Jones).
Cherry People did hit Billboard's Hot 100 chart in 1968 when they missed the Top 40 with \"And Suddenly\", peaking at #44. In 1969, the band released \"Feelings\", which didn't make the Hot 100, and peaked at the bottom of the Bubbling Under Hot chart at #134.
Don't feel too bad for Cherry People, because in 2005, Doug & Chris Grimes re-united the band with guitarist Michael Fath and drummer Michael Andreski. They released \"Nobody's Perfect\" in 2010, and currently working on their follow-up CD, \"Whoopin' & Whoopin'\".
