Playing Next: School Sisters of Notre Dame - Prayer of Generosity

This “concert-styled” Victor Young arrangement of Dana Suesse’s compositon also included the Edward Heyman lyrics. Before long, the secondary melody of “Jazz Nocturne” would be mostly forgotten as the “My Silent Love” portion emerged on its own to become one of 1932’s popular song hits. For the first instrumental release of the piece by the Victor Concert Orchestra (recorded six days earlier), listen here: https://youtu.be/uN7IhN_BXPc
