(C) 2014 The NSA Music-Written by Nick Shane-Performed by Nick Shane/Scott Lazenby/Caveman-Recorded/Produced by Greame Watt & Louise Coombs @ Seagate Studios, Dundee 29th August 2014. “Bang Bang Bang” is our new song, which is about the Gun Law of the USA. This song was originally for the 2012 Sandy Hooks Massacre, where 20 children and 6 adults were shot dead by gunman Adam Lanza. The video highlights American attitude towards gun crime, gun law and abuse of power inflicted by the police.
Verse one says that “suicide was just a day too late”, asking why these sick people can’t just take their own lives, alone, instead of trying to make a last-minute name for themselves to shelter them from their lonely, tragic & very messed up lives.
“Fifty angels” in the chorus represent 25 sets of parents of an average American classroom, and how their un-answered questions surrounding their children’s death, every other day in one of these tragedies, only to realise that nothing can be or ever will be done and that “the answers gonna stay the same”
“Bang bang bang goes the door in daddies’ garage. Come down quick to the last they’ll see of you. Yesterday was talk of life at college, tomorrow they’ll be burying the school”
“Bang bang bang goes the gunman of the century”
