(Az agyi bénulással küzdő kislány Oroszországban éjszaka sírni kezdett, felébresztette édesanyját Ludmila-t, aki először ütni kezdte, majd a még hangosabban kiabáló kislány ajkát elkezdte leharapni.Ezután a kislány napokat töltött megfelelő ellátás nélkül, amíg az anyuka belátta, hogy kezelésre szorul, így kihívta a mentőket. A kórházban megállapították, hogy az asszony Katya orrába is beleharapott, és számtalan más, bántalmazásra utaló nyomot is találtak a gyermek testén. A lányt végül örökbefogadták, az anyát pedig négy év börtönbüntetésre ítélték. Katya egy évig élt a Makarova-Bespalova családdal, majd elhunyt szívelégtelenségben.)
