Pocket Groove Sessions features instrumental rock in a variety of styles, written by John Wills and Pat Bitautas. An album came together by selecting favorites among three years of in studio sessions at Pocket Groove Studios in Naperville, IL.
Meeting up was a weekly escape to geek out on music gear, guitar players, and drink plenty of beer. Highlighting the guitar was always the goal, but thoughtful work on the melodies and arrangements was the key. Rounding out the band with Ryan Hammer on bass and Dave Rice on organ was the winning combo for creating original, guitar driven rock tunes that groove.
Of course, it helped to have Pat’s triple talents of writing and playing guitar, drums, and engineering the recording, mixing, and mastering process at his studio. All involved look forward to a ‘Sessions No. 2 in the future. Play it loud!
