Dans early years were spent in Southern California, learning to surf and play guitar. At six he began a life on the run with his Mother, father and two brothers. His fugitive family dodged authorities for years through seven countries in order to keep his older brother safe from abuse. Dans early songs expressed the anger and angst he felt by the courts betrayal of his family.
His 2019 debut album Fugitiva contains a track 82 Suburban which tells the story of his life, looking over his shoulder and longing for peace. Dateline: NBC documented the injustices endured by his family in a one-hour special entitled Crimes of the Heart in which they labeled Dan a guitar virtuoso.
Today Dan is focused on spreading his brand of reggae.
