After 4 years of thinking about this album and throwing ideas around in my head, and living a lot of life experiences, It's finally here. Groovy Godzilla is now Groovy Kaiju, and I am groovier than ever! Even with the name change, I'm \"Still Groovy\". This one is for all the cool cats who have been missin' out on these sweet tunes blasting from the shores of Monster Island.
This album wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for all of the new people who really breathed so much new life into VaporWave since 2016. All of the new people who really made all of this new resurgance happen. I'd be lying if I didn't say, after Godzilla Saves Earth, I really started focusing on my development career, as I just started working at big tech companies. And honestly, this was, and still is, just something I do for fun. But with all the new bloggers, videographers, festivals, event promoters, labels (Pacific Plaza especially!), and most of all new fans. Y'all really did something we couldn't back then, and for that this album really is go y'all. I cannot express how much all of this means to me. And I know this sounds cheesy, but one thing I've learned about myself, is that I really care about community. And to see this sprout up, and be welcomed back with open arms is so dope to me. Thanks for letting an old dinosaur back into the game baby!
I'm really looking forward to playing more live shows, and meeting all my fans that I've been talking to for years! I know the current global situation doesn't help with that, but I definitely see it happening in the near future once things are able to!
Again, now that I'm back, and still groovy. One last shout out to all my fans. Y'all IMMEDIATELY came back and showed me all the love as if nothing ever happened. Y'all is the real ones, and it's why I definitely and trying to move my life into a position where I can really give more music to y'all and start trying to build a community for us and stuff! I especially appreciate that y'all never hesitate to help out with things like a name change, advice, or just general insight when I need it most. And that's so dope! And even if you just leave a comment here or there, or just listen without reaching out, that's just as cool too, and I appreciate ya just as much!
This album is going to cost $5 because it is all fully sample cleared through Tracklib! Keeping it real, each sample costs about $50. So I'm hoping that the music can fuel itself so we can keep making fully good to go albums, as it will only help my music, and the bedroom producing / vaporwave scene grow! That being said, I know everyone can't shell out the money, and that is completely fine! Now with services like Spotify, you can listen to the album for free there as well :) But any purchase helps my music become self sustaining which would be super awesome! :)
