a brief description of the Eyes of Tomorrow album Saga ….
Eyes was written in the mid to late 80’s.
New York based label Roadrunner was going to be releasing Aftermath's debut .Over a year of talking and even recording 4 songs for them the deal fell through.
A few days later the label Big Chief (metal blade/wb)contacted the band and signed them,
Aftermath then enters the studio and completes the album and that's when shit hit the fan not realizing the rough road still ahead, because while the band was recording the album the label went belly up leaving Aftermath (who were all just out of HS) with a large bill
Big Chief paid half the studio cost upfront and would pay the rest upon completion
Eyes of Tomorrow was recorded at Solid Sound Studio Hoffman Estates Il,
Engineered by Phil Bonnet (RIP)
It was Slated for release In Late 89/early 1990 but it finally came out in 1994
(a very bad year for metal ,some say the worst)
Eyes of Tomorrow was one of the first progressive thrash metal albums and went on to become a underground classic.
