#6 Pop
This pop standard was once a song, who's lyrics were know by heart by nearly all Americans. It was first written in 1895, and was a favorite piano tune in saloons of the day. The song was brought into the Big Band Era by Guy Lombardo in 1941, and his version is now considered the definitive recording. The song was featured in several movies, including 1941's \"The Strawberry Blonde\" and Alfred Hitchcock's 1951 thriller classic about a psychotic serial killer \"Strangers on a Train\".
This is the original HIT MONO MIX released on Decca 3675 when this was a HUGE hit on AM radio stations in the spring and summer of '41.
