The People's Love Cult - Mr. Snatch FULL EP [voted worst album of 2014 by NME]

#MrPope #ThePeoplesLoveCult #SunGodRecords

In October 2014, three drunken slackers gathered together for a one night stand session that resulted in some of the very first recordings of the People's Love Cult.

Outside of the experimental project by founding member Jack Gibson (the marvelous Cult Fantasy Hour album), this was the first release of members of what is believed to be a \"People's Love Cult\"-a group of crazed bohemians who are led by a deranged and unstable madman known only as \"Mister Pope\". The three members (but for one night only) included IT tech-turned comedian Mr. Modi and drifter Mr. Snatch, and they embarked on a heartland effort create the now hailed \"Worst Album of 2014\" (voted by VICE's NOISEY editorial staff and NME's worst of the week column). This is the only known effort of Mister Pope's duties as a \"Producer\"-the only time he was fully allowed to engineer, overdub, and mix in the span of less than 24 hours. Rumor has it he spent the entire night drinking, smoking weed, and did not blink for the remainder of the night. By sunrise he unveiled, with much scorn for its offensive content and lyrics from the very few who first listened (among them his girlfriend at the time, who despised it to the point she left him) the bizarre \"anti-music\" record Mr. Snatch.

The album was intended as comedic and not intended to be taken seriously, at best it could even be \"so bad it's good.\"

Some have described the purposely sloppy production and material as a possible intentional effort to \"get our worst album over with, so people won't have to debate for the years and years to come.\"

Nevertheless this was Mister Pope's first album with the People's Love Cult and sought to make something \"blasphemously bad\" (a strange effort for his debut) since he has formed great coping mechanisms for being considered bad.

Without further ado, the unacknowledged members of the People's Love Cult present to you this avant garde masterpiece.
