Here's my second Doomtober video this year - this time, with no guitars at all, I'm covering the hyper explosive track Vega Core! This track stood out to me from the first listen with those EXTREMELY distorted synths at the \"choruses\" - it's like everything is clipping way out but in a good way, haha. This one was really challenging to recreate, but I'm pretty happy with how my version came out! Trying to get close to all the analog sounds of the original with the stuff I have is always really interesting.
Speaking of analog, I tried being a little more authentic to the original by running some of my synths through some bass effect pedals I have which ended up sounding cool! :3
I sent sine waves through a EBS multicomp, then a Darkglass B7K and then back to my computer (I also stuck a Korg Pitchblack Poly tuner pedal at the end because it made cool light patterns haha) - I then ran the processed signal through the same chain 2 more times.~
