Il y a deux ans, j'ai voulu réaliser ce mashup mais, de par son évidente parenté, quelqu'un l'avait déjà fait (affreusement mal d'ailleurs). Je retravaillais dessus depuis une semaine quand est tombée la triste nouvelle du décès d'Adam \"MCA\" Yauch, l'un des trois membres fondateurs des Beastie Boys. En Hommage au grand bonhomme, je vous propose ma version de ce mashup en espérant que vous la trouverez meilleure et très bonne. Sait-on jamais, sur un malentendu....Même si cela n'a pas grande importance.
La vidéo : une allégorie de la vie d'Adam: de la page blanche du hip-hop qu'il a si brillament colorée à l'ignoble \"crabe\" qui l'a consumé à petit feu.
Two years ago, when I first heard Beck's \"E-Pro\" tune, I immediately got the idea to mix it with Beastie Boys' So \"What'cha Want\". Yet, as it was a direct sample of the rap song, it had already and obviously been done by someone else. However, It was poorly realized and since that time, I always had the will to do my own mix of it, just to give a \"clean\" version. I was working on it for one week when I heard Adam \"MCA\" Yauch had passed away. As a tribute to one of my favourite artist, I finished it. Hope you'll find my version better or simply worth it even if it doesn't really matter.
Here is my allegoric video of Adam's music life: he coloured a white page of Hip-Hop history but cancer finally got him slowly.
