In December last year the world lost one of the most loving, affectionate, talented and crazy talents.

Saxmachine - aka Darren Grainger succumbed to Clear Cell Sarcoma, a rare and powerful strain of Cancer.

He faced each day as a challenge and never gave up hope every step of the way and departed with a smile. A smile that spread joy around any room he entered. I know the room he entered when he left ours is the better for it.

The saxophone sample on this track was lifted from a recording of a local radio session we recorded together with our band The Spheres. It was from the tail end of the track Phoenix Soul and in time honoured Daz fashion he was so joyfully lost in the music he wasn't aware the rest of us had stopped and continued to blow. Just like the air under the wings of the said bird of flight.

I love you and miss you more every day soul brother.
