NOTE: It’s one of the little known recordings by Bert Lown’s fabulous dance band, which – after several years of enormous success between late 1920s and early 1930s - unfortunately ceased its performances and Bert Lown switched to the tv industry. Of course, Elmer’s vocal as usually adds its glory to this side. In the slideshow I made a modest attempt to illustrate the complicated nature of the men’s loneliness.
