I just got my hands on this 9-String acoustic from Furch Guitars and it’s just got that deep blues, vintage voodoo vibe! …so I decided to pull out my rattlesnake tail, slip it under the low E string, tune the low E to a low A, and before I knew it, John Lee Hooker’s “Crawlin’ King Snake” just wanted to come out! You don't often see 9-strings, and especially ones built as well as this Furch Guitar. The 9-String is strung up to where the 3 treble strings are similar to how you would tune a 12-string, but the bass strings are similar to a 6-string. This gives you the fullness and chorus effect on the high strings, while getting the pronounced bass attack and ease of picking on the bass strings. I can’t put this thing down! I’ve always loved the 12-string for that old-time acoustic blues and ragtime, but I think the 9-string is about to win me over. 🔥 Smash SUBSCRIBE if you enjoyed the video!
