Here's my jazz tenor saxophone and piano cover of Route 216 from Pokmon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum ft. David Russell! I'm Sab and I love jazz and video games, so now I make covers that combine two of my favorite things!

This was such a fun cover to do! I always enjoy working with David since he usually pushes me to think outside the box for arrangements. Usually we try and balance each of our strengths and challenge one another in our collabs!

Route 216 is a great tune and Pokmon DPPt is one of my favorite games of all time! I always jam out to this song since it starts out nice and light and then becomes a head banger.

Route 216 seemed to fit with the video game saxophone stuff I do, but also allowed me to add little layers and add different colors by incorporating some flute in the cover. It's been awhile since I've had flute in a cover and it was fun to do!

I hope to do more Pokemon DPPt jazz stuff in the future! Pokmon DPPt is one of my favorite games and has some of my favorite music! I have listened to the OST in the past while writing multiple papers. It just helps me keep focus. Hopefully doing that more will spark some more Pokmon DPPt jazz covers!
