Continuing this 'History Will Eat Itself' marathon, we've got a more laid-back arrangement here mainly consisting of the math-rock genre. Also joining me on saxophone is the effervescent Charlie Pitcher working his jazz magic on this track! If you're interested in more of his work, you can check out his 'Gratuitous' EP on all digital platforms!
The main idea for this arrangement came from the mathy riff at the beginning. Converting the main melody of a composition into a riff is a technique I love imploying into my arrangements and I need to do it more because it's so much fun to create! This track also is a good example of the pedals I've implemented through out this album, the main star of this particular track being the wonderful Westwood by Earthquaker Devices for that lush low-gain tone on every guitar heard on this arrangement.
More Nier Automata coming!
Tune in every Wednesday!
