Bought, ripped and (barely) remastered by myself (Rarity/Robyn).
The Brass-Express project's first and only album, from 1989, a year after the release of the maxi-single \"Gimme the Brass\". However, the sound they went for is more like Captain Hollywood with sampling. Check out \"Do That Thang\" which should all be on YouTube, it's a very similar style and Hollywood does in fact rap on the song \"I'm Def\".
The album was only released on CD, though the back cover suggests that they planned cassette and vinyl releases. Assume this is from either commercial failure or because of uncleared samples. Anyone wanna identify all of the samples? Let me know what you can hear!
