Os Pombos, a band created in 1978, first started getting recognition after having been a hotel band playing a mixture of pop, Latin, calypso and rock and roll and during that era they were known as the only Malaysian βstrollingβ band. They later transformed into a full-fledged country and western band and received many invitations to perform all around West Malaysia. Along the years they have also set up and performed at their own pubs, Longhorn and Country Barn, before moving on to other ventures. Among their achievements are getting to open for international names such as Kenny Rogers, Freddy Fender, Skeeter Davies and even travelling to perform in Singapore, Canada and Australia. To date, Os Pombos is the only country band to record and release an album called Prime Cuts under BMG Music Malaysia, with 3 of its songs becoming instant hits on national radio β East of Nashville, Hurt Me No More and Angel Eyes. With 3 decades of experience in the industry, they still actively perform for private events and special functions to this date.
