Unusually it isn't the credited artist that prompts me to share this recording. Sophie Tucker's rendition is the standout version. However, this example features a remarkable saxophone solo which starts at 1.20 and returns after a brief piano break.
I've most of the records of Miss Lapidus. She had a tendency to sing from the beginning to end of her recordings. Thankfully she takes a long break here. By far the best of her recordings I've heard.
Does anyone know or wish to guess the mystery saxophonist?
