At Night We Prey is about people suffering from depression that leads to suppressed anger.
\"Prey\" is a play on words manifesting the struggle of the depressed one who’s inner pray for help fails to show, leaving others with false impression he or she or it is preying on people, while literally is becoming prey to depression. This is a tribute to the victims and a cry for help from those struggling with it.
Following advice from European Alliance Against Depression, Leipzig, Germany:
“Depression is a prevalent, severe and often life-threatening mental health. Depression is a common illness worldwide, with more than 300 million people affected. It results from a complex interaction of social, psychological and biological factors and is an illness that involves not only the mind or brain but the whole body, affecting the way a person eats, sleeps, feels about himself or herself, and thinks about things. It is not a passing, normal, state of mind and it is neither a sign of personal weakness nor a condition that one can \"snap out of\". In general, depression can affect anyone: men and women from all backgrounds, in all professions, and at all stages of life. Even people whose lives seem carefree and contented can experience depression. Depression can be treated. If you think you have depression, seek help. Find help. If you don't feel right, seeking help is an important first step.
