After many years I finally got one! Probably the rarest \"issued\" Motown related 45. Obviously there are acetates, demo's etc that never got to publishing and therefore are rarer, but this is a bit like the holy grail for us Motown stripes collectors.
Don't ask about cost, if you are asking you probably can't afford it .. but I am very pleased to have it now (even if I did have to part with some rare 45's to pay for it)
Barrett Strong was only a boy at school when he laid this down, so Berry Gordy took the credits, it was recorded in the basement of a small local radio show as Tamla didn't yet have a studio. It's said that this 45 was the catalist in making Gordy form Motown Records.
It's going to be in my \"Motown stripes playlist\" from now on!
