Scarlett Mahna was a \"character\" or \"alter\" for the songwriter & frontperson of the band Sister Harley, an all-girl power-pop original rock group from New Jersey.
These recordings were her first set of originals dating back to 1977 and cover a period of her copyrighted songs between 1985-1991. All selections here are demo's recorded by Scarlett Mahna as a solo songwriter, instrumentalist and vocalist, and were recorded on various 2 track tape decks, bounced multiple times for backtracks and overdubs. Some of the 1990-91 songs were taped on a small 4 track deck.
Drum machines used were: Boss Dr Rhythm (mid-80's) and Boss DR550 (late 80's & early 90's), mostly programmed or with fills played live during recording. (Two songs have only a set pattern.)
Bass, Guitars, Vocals, and drum programming all composed, orchestrated, and performed by Scarlett Mahna.
