Post album blues has been pretty tricky, since I spent essentially 3 years on Project Discover (my original EP), so I figured my favorite game might be a good place to start. I did miss VGM a lot and seeing so many friends doing streams and new projects reminded me the fun of working in this side of things too! That said, one more music video off the album is incoming! Anyway, I wanted to cover this song for a long time and reviewing my mix template REALLY opened up some ideas! I've also been studying a lot of Indian-guitar hybrid channels and a lot of this cover was improvised lead lines based on the very atmospheric song! While this is a much shorter cover than I could've gone, let alone less dense, I feel like I got back to basics!
The video had some AWESOME accidents, from flicking water on filters to putting plastic filters over the lenses to give off that shimmery underwater glow and I adore what happened here! I think as things become safe again I'll try to get more film help, but it makes me feel good knowing I can still pull this off alone! I don't have a lot of game music planned (originals are vocal-practice tunes are a bit higher priority to me) but the few I do have to be as fun as this one. Also I've basically covered all OOT's temples now!
