Excellent opening track from 1986's \"...And the Earth Shall Crumble\", by Danish NWOBHM-inspired band Mirage. Underground 80's metal that is sadly overlooked. Anyone interested in checking the album out, it was reissued in 2002 via Karthago Records, with new artwork and a whopping 8 bonus tracks.

Lyrics:
A man is crying for a lost love
For all those years she was his all
He is alone & crying softly
The rain has just begun to fall
As they commend another body to the ground
There seems to be no consolation to be found
The wind is cold & you can almost feel her die
And all the preacher has to offer the poor bastard is a lie
Chorus:
We found ourselves
Out There - Survivors
We found ourselves
Out There - Survivors
He thinks they're all kindhearted people
Watching them dump her in a hole
His eyes are red but very thankful
You know a handshake scars your soul
As they commend another body to the ground
There seems to be no living - now he's homeward bound
He is the last to leave a place where bodies lies
And all the preacher has to offer the poor bastard is a lie
