Tony Luis — Qiana - The Four Elements (1968 Library) FULL ALBUM

Muzak schlock or library brilliance? Beauty's really in the eye of the beholder when it comes to \"Qiana: The Four Elements,\" conductor Tony Luis's paean to, umm, 1968's newest fabric. The score to a film of the same name directed by Jean-Christophe Averty and commissioned by DuPont — the makers of Nylon who, in 1968, decided to celebrate their introduction of its high-tech replacement, Qiana — \"this souvenir album,\" according to the liner notes, \"is your reminder that 'Qiana' represents a new level of esthetics and performance in fibers, fabrics and garments.\" Right... Fifty years on, both Qiana and \"Qiana\" have become a bit passé; but, as with the sartorial bravado of Qiana-clad disco boys in their wide-collared silky suits, there's a certain captivating earnestness to \"Qiana\" which masks something a bit deeper.
