From familiar-looking planets, to fresh teases of the Emperor, brand new Resistance heroes, ships from the animated series, and a C-3PO line to make water spring liberally from your eyes, the trailer is stacked with the old, the new, and everything in between.
There's a lot going on that has fans super excited: the huge battle between the Resistance and First Order ships, C-3PO saying goodbye to his friends, the developing story between Rey and Kylo Ren, and the voiceovers from Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa.
But what seems to really have people excited is the return to an iconic location: Emperor Palpatine's throne room on the second Death Star from Return of the Jedi.
Basically, that JJ Abrams is at it again repackaging people's nostalgia just like he did with The Force Awakens, and once again it seems to be working a treat with fans.
We are more interested about that other throne in the movie. The one on the icy planet with all the weird jagged rocks sticking out of it, could it be Palpatine's throne?
