We are proud to present our first Gondolin Records feature in this weeks’ Dungeon Synth Sunday, with an exclusive stream of Towering Above the Gods; the second album from Russia’s Voloth.
The follow-up to the 2018 debut, Origins Of Swamp Magic, Towering Above the Gods is another cinematic expedition through a land of dark, oppressive dungeon synth.
Just like on the debut, worshippers are presented with a brooding ritualistic symphony in two parts of equal length emanating from a mysterious mythological domain. A fire slowly crackles to life as the album opens, and its flickering light casts both comforting path, and unsettling shadow through the course of the album.
Tapes will be available to pre-order, in a limited run of 150, from Gondolin on 8th September, at 2200 CEST with four other new releases, by An Old Sad Ghost, Isegrimm, Umbría and Draped In Shadows.
