This New Year's Eve, as we close the page on this memorable decade, I thought I would take the opportunity to share a very special project with all of you loyal subscribers/Beach Boys fans/members of the Official Mike Love Fan Club. And so, it is my most humblest duty to present to you all Mike Love's classic 1981 album, Looking Back with Love, in the highest-quality vinyl rip possible. Mike's debut solo album, produced by legendary record producer Curt Becher (with an uncredited Brian Wilson producing \"Be My Baby\"), was released on October 8th, 1981 on the now-defunct Boardwalk Records. Backed by a single release of \"Looking Back with Love/One Good Reason,\" neither effort managed to reach the Billboard Charts. Since its release, Looking Back with Love has unfortunately never received a CD or digital release, having only been available on vinyl and cassette formats. In lieu of an official release/reissue, I can safely say that this is the absolute best-sounding version of the album you will be able to find. Ripped by yours truly, the entire album has been faithfully restored and remastered to be given the best audio quality experience possible, featuring the painstakingly tedious removal of all audible clicks and pops, as well as proper equalization wherever necessary. A link to download the album will be included below. We all made it together, now we're looking back with love - high quality love!
