* Never thought I'd see the day that I'd upload an album in its entirety, but upon discovering no one had done as such with The New Year's 2004 masterpiece The End is Near, I figured that day was finally upon us.



The New Year is an American slowcore band formed in 1999 after the disbanding of the founding members' - Matt and Bubba Kadane - previous pursuit, the Dallas based indie outfit Bedhead. This is The New Year's sophomore effort, released on the Touch & Go label with the aid of renown engineer Steve Albini, who had first worked with the two frontmen on Bedhead's final album Transaction De Novo (1998).
