``A recording project from '87, forming part of the same series which began several volumes earlier with the very rare Black United Frontliners . This particular volume also features a wide variety of group and musicians, such as The New World Percussion Ensemble, an eight piece band coming on like a cross between Leon Thomas, Burning Spear & War, on \"Land Of The Drum\". Spoken Afro-poetry on \"Fancy Footwork\" from Phavia Kujichagulia, sweet jazz vocals from The Wobogo Jazz Ensemble and an assortment of musical experiments with proto-rap, spoken word mixed with solo sax etc. . This one is a really #rare Jazz Compilation. The track B1, \"The Times\" is a boombastic Hip Hop track. It sounds very homemade, with life sounding Raps and a lot of cuts and scratches; not wannabe Hip Hop, definitely super fresh!!! No melodies....but a fat hard Hip Hop 85-86 style. Not easy to get as they don't pressed many!!``
