Elvis Presley - It's a Wonderful World - Move Version - Re-edited with RCA/Sony STEREO audio

Playing Next: Jean Paul & Angelique - Harmattan (Single A-Side)
Random Page  /  Random Song

Written by serial Elvis movie song composers Sid Tepper and Roy C. Bennett, "It's a Wonderful World" was recorded by Elvis at Radio Recorders' Studio B in Hollywood, on 2 March 1964. It was the final song of four recorded on the first day of two specifically for the Paramount movie "Roustabout", with a further day added on 5 March, to facilitate vocal overdubs to a couple of songs. A further three days would be added over the next couple of months for the same purpose.

It is unfortunate the tapes from these "Roustabout" sessions have been lost, and therefore all but the master recordings are known to still exist. There were sixteen takes attempted by Elvis of this song, with number thirteen chosen as the master. A further take, number seventeen, was also recorded, an instrumental take, which survives, and was officially released on Follow That Dream's release of the soundtrack album in June 2017. This instrumental track was likely to have been intended for use on a vocal overdub, in common with a few others in this session but in this case no additional vocal was added.

As with all of these videos, to get the most out of the re-edited audio, I highly recommend you use ear /headphones and turn the volume up as much as you dare!
