Incredible one-off band from Germany. Dork Astronaut were around for about five years, and claimed members from late 80's/early 90's alt-rock bands: From Outer Space, and The Rough Situation; and also the long-running band, Loretta. Musically, well, Um. Two parts Pavement and Lemonheads, one part Americana (hence the Byrds/Gram Parsons cover) ala Volebeats and The Vulgar Boatmen, A hint of 80's R.E.M., and bit of 90's emo... and, there you have it. I wish they had put out more than just one record, because this is amazing. Released in 1998 on Soda Records (Label operated by members from Pale, another great German band; check my two previous videos) Enjoy.
