‘Raya’ is the debut album of Belgian sludge/postrock-band Pothamus. In this 50-minute conjuring and turbulent journey, music and metaphysics are indivisibly intertwined. In a pursuit to unveil the incomprehensible, Pothamus molded their own cosmology building upon existing myths and meanings. Tempestuous riffs and tribalesque percussion answer to oriental chants and hypnotizing basslines.
