Familiar to later generations from its inclusion in the 1952 “Singin’ In The Rain” movie score, this Arthur Freed-Nacio Herb Brown song was originally featured in MGM’s tuneful 1935 film musical “Broadway Melody Of 1936.” Remembered for his years with Arthur Godfrey and for heading his own successful Cadence Records company, Bleyer had also led several dance band sessions for Vocalion and ARC between 1934 and 1935. Also posted to this channel are versions of the song by The Dorsey Brothers https://youtu.be/5o_8ob-wpIk and Eddy Duchin https://youtu.be/dvm5JyNdVjw
