This simplified version of Stand By Me by Ben E. King uses a capo on fret 2. This means that you don't have to play the tricky F#m barre chord which appears on the original recording. By the way, these chords also work with the wonderful John Lennon version of the song.
To play without a capo, just substitute these chords: G becomes A, Em becomes F#m, C becomes D, and D becomes E.
