In celebration of Brian Wilson's 78th birthday, I'm proud to share this approximate re-creation of the 'Pet Sounds' album, which I made using Ableton Live, various plug-ins, and MIDI data I tracked down online. ('Let's Go Away For Awhile' is included as it's own video because I wanted to pair it with its own 'Making-Of' video) And as always, a huge tremendous THANK YOU to all my Patrons over at Patreon. Brian Wilson is a national treasure. They call him America's Mozart... but frankly I'm not sure that goes far enough. With Pet Sounds, he not only revolutionized pop music - he also galvanized the musical scene of his peers (The Beatles, among others), clearing the way for artists to utilize the recording process as a tool in itself. And at the age of 78, he continues to be a shining beacon for musicians around the world - while also working to continue opening the dialogue around mental disability. Thanks to Brian's music, the world is a slightly better place. In the words of Neil Young: \"This music will live forever.\"
