It contains all four extended mixes offered on the album: Fishnet (Big Leg Mix), Fishnet (A Cappella), Fishnet (La Glub Dub Mix), and the Fishnet (Instrumental). Morris Day is Soul/funk singer whom was one of the leading figures in Minneapolis funk scene. He was in a high school band called Grand Central and then Champagne, with Prince and André Cymone. He became the lead singer of The Time, releasing four albums with them. He pursued a solo career in 1985 with four albums, in total up till 2004. He played the villain role in the movies \"Purple Rain\" and \"Graffitti Bridge\". In 1985 he did a duet with Vanity of Vanity 6 on \"Mechanical Emotion\". This single was Day's most successful solo hit, peaking at number twenty-three on the Hot 100, and reaching number one on the soul singles chart, for two weeks. \"Fishnet\" also peaked at number twelve on the dance charts.This album single was released under Warner Bros Records '88.
