[EN] Untitled With Drums is a five-piece rock band from France (Clermont-Ferrand), formed in 2014. With a wide array of influences such as Failure, Slint, Shipping News, True Widow, Cave ln ... UWD puts a new spin on alternative rock by updating the raw, noisy sounds of the 90s with a modern, progressive posr-rock vibe.
After touring in support of their first EP \"S/T W/D\", released in 2017, UWD started working on their debut LP. The resulting 10 songs were recorded with Serge Morattel at Rec Studio in Geneva, Switzerland (Knut, Ventura, Impure Wilhelmina, Year of No Light ... ). The band recorded their songs live to retain the organic feel and the energy of their live shows. The guitars and synth were then re-recorded in order to craft the heavy, lush atmosphere Serge Morattel's productions are acclaimed for.
To maintain consistency between the band's music and visuals, UWD's songwriter and bass player Martin Le Borgne is a/so responsible for the LP's art direction, including the caver art.

[FR] Formé en 2014, Untitled With Drums est un groupe de Clermont-Ferrand (France) composé de 5 membres. Inspiré par des artistes aussi divers que Failure, Slint, Shipping News (à qui est emprunté le nom du groupe), Cave ln ou True Widow, UWD propose un genre singulier de rock alternatif mêlant des sonorités noise tout droit venues des 90’s et des ambiances plus modernes empruntées au post-rock voire au post-hardcore.
Après un premier EP sorti en 2017. S/T W/D. défendu sur les routes durant 2 ans, UWD a choisi de faire appel à Serge Morattel (Rec studio - Genève, suisse) pour son premier album, au vu des techniques particulières utilisées par celui-ci et par affinité avec ses productions passées (Knut, Ventura, Impure Wilhelmina, Year of No Light…). Les 10 titres ont d’abord été enregistrés « live » afin de capter le mieux possible l’énergie retranscrite par le groupe. Les guitares et les synthés ont été ré-enregistrées par la suite.
Dans la continuité de l’univers musical développé par le groupe, Martin Le Borgne (chanteur, bassiste, qui est à l’origine du projet) réalise également l’ensemble des éléments visuels et a donc réalisé l’artwork de ce disque.
