Music from Viva Pinata for orchestra, featuring flute, horn, bassoon, violin, oboe, clarinet, and English horn!
The soundtrack to Viva Pinata has to be one of my favorites of Grant Kirkhope's. If you've ever played the game, you can't help but smile at all the little woodwind solos as each creature appears. For this cover my goal was to expand the orchestration a bit but still feature small sections of live musicians. At a talk once Grant had mentioned one of his inspirations was the composer Ralph Vaughn Williams and I think it really shows in this song, so I put part of the middle section in more of that early 20th century English style. And a big thanks to my friends for helping me record all the solo parts!
