Instrumental jazz cover by the Joe Roccisano Orchestra of Donald Fagen's \"The Goodbye Look\" (original on \"The Nightfly\" album). Taken from Joe Roccisano's 1995 CD \"Leave Your Mind Behind\". This cover features Scott Robinson on tenor sax, Terry Clarke on drums, and John Kaye on percussion. Donald Fagen writes in the CD liner notes: \"I've known Joe since the late 70's. He arranged a couple of Steely Dan tunes for the then-current edition of the {Woody} Herman Herd. Joe obviously enjoyed playing with the material, taking the harmonic and melodic motifs and expanding them in unexpected directions. His charts tended to avoid the \"here's the jazz treatment syndrome\". Since then, I've been involved with various projects with Joe, and they've all been fun. This is Joe's second CD on Landmark. Check it out.\". Joe Roccisano was also involved with the 1988 CD \"Hoops McCann Band Plays the Music of Steely Dan\", being the producer and conducter, plus writing the arrangements for six of the eight tunes. The Roccisano Orchestra also played and recorded the tune \"Blue Lou\" (written by Donald Fagen) on the soundtrack album for the movie \"Glengarry Glen Ross.
