SUBTERFUGE
Formed in the early 1990's and lovingly described by Strobelight Records as \"AUSTRALIA's GOTH SUPERSTARS OF THE 90's\", Subterfuge promised much (but released little). A demo tape in 1993, followed by a CD EP in 1994 and a few songs on the odd CD compilation were the only releases (quality not quantity).
The EP, \"Darkland Awakening\" has since been described as being, \"one of the most fantastic releases of the genre of that era\".
It was predicted in one magazine at the time that \"Subterfuge could reach the mantle of greatness\". er, but we decided to take the other route to obscurity.
Still, we remain one of the very few 'trad goth' bands to have existed in Australia.
