Ed Lloyd and His Orchestra – What’s Good For The Goose Is Good For The Gander, Fox-Trot (Friend) Rex 1934 (UK)

NOTE: The song “What’s Good For The Goose Is Good For The Gander” was composed by an accomplished American composer & pianist Cliff Fiend (among others, author of such hits as “Lovesick Blues” or “My Blackbirds Are Bluebirds Now”). Recorded by several signifoicant dance bands (Dic Robertson, Don Bestor) it was made popular in UK and elsewhere in Europ by the popular British singer Elsie Carlisle. Her, it is performed by one of the Rex studios dance bands, many of which had been labeled on records as “Ed Lloyd’s Band”. The slideshow presents some of the “intersex” fashions of the early 1930s. (…what’s good for the goose is good for the gander…)
