*we wanted to record this album the most practical way a small two-piece band could, so we actually recorded this entire album live in a warehouse. Us Forming Stories guys literally played through this entire album with all the rhythm sections, and later layered everything else on.
*We definitely want to thank Josh for helping us do it like this, and appreciate his time with the whole thing.
Our intro to the entire Seasons package, and set up for the entire albums chord progression. We wanted the intro to Spring to feel like a warm morning at sunrise with plant life blooming.
1:47 our recurring theme, this riff is used during the outro as well.
2:17 SPRING:April
Again carrying our warm Spring themes, this song we wanted to feel like a bike ride.
7:07 SPRING:May
Our outro to Spring, filled with some changes and a bit more aggressive at times compared to the rest of Spring, hinting at our Summer portion.
13:09 SUMMER:June
Summer. hot and kind of dreadful sometimes, that's why this song kicks in right away. Probably the most \"metal\" song on the entire album. The outro is supposed to represent a hot desert full of mirages.
16:58 SUMMER:July
Wanted this to feel like being lost at night in a hot desert. Really the most personal song for myself, Aaron, in which July is a very bitter sweet month for me. My grandmother passed in July and it also happens to be my birthday month, she was my biggest support in music and her death still hits me hard.
19:52 SUMMER:August
Our outro to Summer and we had fun Summer days in mind. Days at the lake with friends or family, full of fun.
26:30 AUTUMN:September
Really all of the Autumn portion of seasons Was picturing aging plant life. Brown and yellow leaves falling, full off brisk air and warm coats.
27:36 AUTUMN:October
October is the trunk to Autumn, and serves as a hard hitting song compared to the rest of this portion.
31:28 AUTUMN:November
Here is the piano that inspired the entire seasons package. Literally laced this chord progression throughout the album. Also was picturing the final leaves falling as the song ends.
32:53 WINTER:December
As with each portion of this album, we wanted each to stand on their own with their own intros and outros, but the entire Seasons album flow as one. This song in particular we wanted to feel like an icy wasteland.
36:21 WINTER:January
A month of renewal, we wanted this song to feel fresh and actually serves as the \"finale\" song to the entire Seasons album.
42:03 WINTER:February
Our Conclusion to the entire album. If you remember from March, we bring back our beginning intro riff.
