Precious Wilson & La Mama - Funky Fingers (Full Album, Expanded Version) [1983]
Precious Wilson's third and final album for Hansa was a low-key affair that came and went without much notice and no promotion whatsoever. It was a medley album of soul covers, running just a little more than half an hour. Two covers exist of the album, one crediting her backing group La Mama, and one solely crediting her. I have expanded the album by including the full version of River Deep, Mountain High (a single A-side) and adding the B-side You're A Strong Man, Red Light, her 1983 single Let's Move Aerobic, and a 1994 remix of Funky Fingers.
Madeleine Davis & Patricia Shockley of La Mama kept doing session work for producer Frank Farian while Precious Wilson herself signed with UK label Jive Records in 1985, releasing a self-titled album a year later along with a handful of singles.
