Magnetic Space Ape Machines started after finding an 1987 bootleg cassette recording of Power 106 FM made by my dad during his first trip to Los Angeles.



The cassette contained popular one hit wonders of that era in-between radio excerpts and US commercials.



Some of this material has been recycled in the form of samples in the album and the overall goal was to recreate the experience of listening to a radio in the 80's.
